...a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher DipHb (KG), proud hypnobirthing mum-of-two, registered midwife BSc (Hons) working within the NHS in Bristol and the founder of Little Passengers! I now live in the stunning surroundings of the Mendip Hills in Somerset with my husband and two little boys, after 12 years of loving life in vibrant Bristol.
With many years of experience of caring for women in labour in both midwife-led and high-risk obstetric settings, and attending home births as a community midwife, I see teaching Hypnobirthing as a natural extension of this wonderful role. I am passionate and skilled in supporting women like you to have a calm, positive birth experience and transition to parenthood and I know first-hand that hypnobirthing helps to achieve this. Having seen how well hypnobirthing works for so many women, I sought out & practised it for my first pregnancy in 2016 and experienced a birth that I can enthusiastically say I enjoyed! I feel so lucky to be able to say I LOVED giving birth, despite not all circumstances surrounding my pregnancy being ‘low risk’ and despite all the ‘baggage’ around birth complications and intervention that I carry as a midwife! When I had my second son a couple of years later, I experienced another relaxed and magical birth, this time at home. I teach Hypnobirthing because I want others to feel about their births the way I do about mine. And if it worked for me, then it can work for you!
It has been my mission over the past few years to evolve and develop a truly transformational antenatal course that is balanced, realistic and applies to all types of birth, putting all my midwifery knowledge, heart and soul into it! What an enormous privilege it is to teach it and be able to help make such a truly special time for couples the best it can possibly be.
I currently teach the Little Passengers course dates in South Bristol. I also really enjoy providing my online Calm Parenting courses & workshops for new mamas and frazzled parents!
I am a KGHypnobirthing teacher DipHb (KG), registered midwife with over 10 years’ experience and a nurse for over 25 years. As well as this, I am a busy mum to 3 teenage boys! Living on the edge of the Mendips enables me to make the most of the surrounding countryside, spending much time outdoors.
I currently work within the NHS as a continuity team midwife in North Somerset, which I love as it means I often get to look after women in labour that I have got to know during their antenatal appointments beforehand! Over the years since qualifying, I have really enjoyed my experiences in the obstetric unit, stand-alone birth centre, and attending many home births.
Having trained as a midwife after having my children, I have been drawn to teaching hypnobirthing having seen time and again the difference it makes to the families I care for. I have become passionate about empowering women and their partners to experience an informed and calm birth journey. Having always enjoyed providing antenatal education as a midwife and helping women understand birth and how their amazing bodies work...being able to bring this all together with the invaluable tools & techniques of the Little Passengers Hypnobirthing programme is a perfect match for me!
I share Laura's vision that your antenatal course should be balanced & prepare you well for all eventualities and that any type of birth can be a positive experience with the right preparation, guidance and mindset...
I teach the North Somerset Little Passengers Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Courses...and can't wait to meet you and your birth partner!
