Calm Parenting, gentle parenting

Are these courses for me?

Basically, this is for you if you have baby or child of any age!! It is invaluable if you’re looking to parent with greater calm, balance, and energy, and will both help you cope positively with the tough times but also enhance all the good times too. Who doesn’t want motherhood/parenting to be more manageable and enjoyable?! No previous experience of hypnosis or guided relaxation is required. Whilst my calm parenting courses may appeal mostly to mothers, the techniques and tools are equally valuable for fathers and other primary caregivers alike, and easy adaptations make this suitable for all in need!

How is self-hypnosis helpful for the challenges of mothering/parenting?

Rapid Relaxation: Hypnosis provides easy to learn techniques to quickly relax your body while creating mindfulness and balance
Positive Emotional Resources: Quick in-the-moment self-hypnosis techniques allow you to shake off negativity & tap into positive emotions even on difficult parenting days
Hypnotic Time Distortion for Sleep: Whether you have five minutes or five hours to catch some rest, hypnosis helps your mind and body make the most of the sleep you have
Connection to  your Baby/Child: Hypnosis helps you tune in to your baby/child and your own natural instincts as a mother/parent

Will the course just be a talk on strategies?

Not at all. Many of the tools and activities presented in my calm parenting courses are about proactively engaging, not passively listening. That’s because this moves you forward more quickly with the ability to practice the tools and techniques independently at home afterwards. You’ll benefit in the moment but also cumulatively over time, from these tools that you can use every day to shift thinking, clarify perspective, and promote confidence and calm in your life with your little one(s).

Why is there a different format for new mums and mums of older children?

Simply put, the tools, and techniques taught in both calm parenting courses are the same…however, the challenges and demands of having a new baby can be quite different from the things that often test us later on in parenthood and therefore require different emphasis, discussion & exploration to make it as relevant (& helpful as possible). In addition, with these differing phases & differing needs in mind, my Calm & Connect course for new mamas allows time for gradual learning, greater relaxation and social elements during the weekly sessions. Whereas the Find your Calm workshop is short & snappy for parents whose priorities might be less about building friendships and more about making rapid shifts & having all the tools to implement straight away!
